CVPitch vs CVReady: Word-for-Word CV Formatting Compared
CVPitch vs CVReady for recruitment agencies: published per-CV prices, word-for-word formatting, hidden-text removal, rollover and integrations, 11 Oct 2026.
CVPitch vs CVReady is a close comparison, because both products make the same core promise: move the candidate's text into your agency's template without rewriting it. Both name Anthropic's Claude as their AI, both remove hidden text from uploaded CVs, both reprocess without charging again, and both roll unused allowance over. The differences are in price, in how each shows that a fact came from the source, and in how far each connects to the rest of an agency's systems.
How we compared them: we make CVPitch. CVReady details below come from its public home, pricing and features pages as published on 11 October 2026. We have not opened a CVReady account or formatted a CV with it, so we compare published prices and advertised features, not output quality.
CVPitch vs CVReady: the short answer
Choose CVReady if you want its team to rebuild your Word template for you, prefer top-up packs that never expire, or work in several languages and want that covered by the vendor's own claims.
Choose CVPitch if you want a lower published price per CV, a no-AI format-only mode, each fact shown beside its source passage with approval tied to the exact version, and native connections to your ATS, inbox, automation tools or AI assistant.

| Free start | 10 exports and 25 AI credits, no card | First CV free; its pricing page describes a 7-day trial with 20 CVs |
| When a CV is counted | On the first export of an approved submission | At upload, per its pricing page |
| Failures and reprocessing | Failed jobs never charged; re-exports of the same submission free (same candidate, up to 20 re-exports) | Technical failures auto-refunded; "unlimited reprocessing" with no extra credits |
At every published tier CVPitch costs less per CV. The units differ slightly: CVReady counts a CV at upload, while a CVPitch export is one approved CV delivered as a matching Word and PDF pair. CVPitch plans also include an upload allowance, by default twice the export allowance. See our CV formatting software pricing comparison for more vendors.

Where CVPitch differs
Proof, not just a promise
Both products say they keep the candidate's words. CVPitch shows it: each employer, date, qualification and skill links to the passage it came from, anything without support is marked unverified, and recruiter additions are labelled. If a fact was missed, draw a box on the original page, select the words and assign them to the field, keeping the evidence. Read why this matters.
A mode with no AI at all
"Format only — no AI" lays the CV out by rules, keeping every line as a literal quote of the source. For PDFs with a text layer and Word files, no text is sent to an AI provider and no AI credits are used (scans and photos still need AI text recognition), which suits agencies whose clients ask for that, and documents where AI extraction would add little.
Approval tied to the exact version
A CVPitch approval covers the facts, the client template version and the contact-removal settings. Change any one and the CV needs approving again. The Word file and PDF come from the same approved snapshot.
Connections and a review queue
Native connectors for Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, Ashby, Teamtailor, Recruitee, SmartRecruiters, Recruit CRM and Crelate import CVs and attach approved files back. Email intake can pick the client template from a short code in the subject line. A task drawer shows recent processing jobs, lets you cancel a queued one and retry a failed one, and keyboard shortcuts move between fields and CVs. See integrations and features.
Where CVReady may be the better choice
- Done-for-you templates. CVReady advertises rebuilding your Word template from the file you send. In CVPitch you add simple tags to your template yourself.
- Non-expiring CV top-ups. CVReady's $59 pack of 100 CVs never expires. CVPitch's non-expiring packs are AI credits, not exports.
- Languages. CVReady advertises twenty-plus languages. CVPitch has evaluated extraction on English CVs only and says so.
- Volume above 600. CVReady offers custom pricing above its Agency plan.
Questions to ask in either trial
- Can you see where each fact came from? Ask to see the source line for a date or a qualification.
- Is hidden text reported? Upload a synthetic CV with a white-on-white line and see whether it is removed and flagged.
- What does a correction cost? Find out whether a second template or a corrected version uses another credit.
- Are contact details gone everywhere? Check the Word file properties and search the PDF text.
Frequently asked questions
Is CVReady more expensive than CVPitch?
On published pricing as of 11 October 2026, yes per CV: CVReady lists $49 for 100, $99 for 250 and $199 for 600 CVs a month; CVPitch lists $19 for 100, $49 for 300 and $119 for 1,000 exports a month (as of 12 October 2026).
Do both tools remove hidden text?
Both advertise it. CVPitch detects invisible, white or near-background and very small text in Word files and PDFs at upload, strips it before extraction and shows the counts in review, without logging the hidden text itself.
Does CVPitch roll unused exports over?
Yes. At renewal, unused exports carry over to the next month once, up to one month's allowance.
Do both use Claude?
Yes. CVReady says it is powered by Anthropic's Claude, and CVPitch uses Claude's Haiku model for AI extraction, OCR and optional AI writing. CVPitch's format-only mode uses no AI for PDFs with a text layer and Word files; scans and photos still use AI text recognition. See AI transparency.
