Allsorter Alternatives: CV Formatting Tools Compared (2026)
Looking for Allsorter alternatives? Compare CV formatting tools for agencies on published price, free trials, review controls and integrations in 2026.
Agencies usually look for Allsorter alternatives for one of three reasons: they want a published price instead of a quote, they want to try the product without a sales call, or they want a different balance between automated reformatting and recruiter checking. This page sets out the options that fit each reason.
Allsorter itself is a credible choice. Its public pages advertise full reformatting into custom templates, side-by-side quality control, personal-detail redaction, integrations with Bullhorn, Salesforce and JobAdder, and an option to keep the original CV behind a branded coversheet. If those integrations are why you shortlisted it, weigh that heavily before switching.
We make CVPitch, one of the alternatives below. Competitor details come from public pages checked on 9 October 2026 and free accounts opened on 10 October 2026 with synthetic CVs. We did not trial Allsorter, because we found quote and demo routes rather than a self-serve trial.
What Allsorter offers, as observed
- Pricing: Elite (for teams of at least five) and Enterprise, both quote-based. Figures were not shown on the pricing page.
- Reformatting: full reformat into a custom template, or keep the original CV and add a coversheet.
- Quality control: side-by-side comparison of original and reformatted CV.
- Privacy: personal-detail redaction.
- Integrations: Bullhorn, Salesforce and JobAdder.
- Extras: ten custom CV templates or cover sheets, multilingual options and an AI productivity suite listed on the pricing page.

The alternatives in more detail
CVPitch: for agencies that check every fact
CVPitch extracts the CV into structured fields and links each employer, date, qualification and skill to the passage it came from. Recruiters resolve flags, choose contact removal (email, phone, address, links, or name replaced by a reference), and approve the exact revision. The approval covers the facts, the template version and the contact policy; change any and it must be approved again. Export gives an editable DOCX and a matching PDF, with selected details removed from hidden metadata too.
It also includes an evidence-backed job match: paste a job description and each requirement is marked evidenced, partly evidenced or not shown, with the CV passage beside it, and you get an editable pitch email citing that evidence. Native connectors import CVs from and attach approved files to Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, Ashby, Teamtailor, Recruitee, SmartRecruiters, Recruit CRM and Crelate (Manatal for import), and a remote MCP connector lets Claude and ChatGPT work with your submissions, without ever approving one. Scans and photos are read by OCR, CVs can be forwarded by email, and bulk upload, shortlists and tracked share links are included too, as they are with several rivals.
Compared with Allsorter, CVPitch has no native Bullhorn, Salesforce or JobAdder connector yet (Bullhorn and JobAdder are waiting on partner approval; use the API, webhooks or Zapier, Make and n8n meanwhile), and it does not design templates for you: you choose a layout or add tags to your own Word template. RefineCV: for price and template builds
RefineCV publishes $0.40 per CV pay-as-you-go or $50 a month for 200, with unlimited seats, a free custom template build, OCR and re-exports without another charge. Its public demo produced a real PDF in our test. See CVPitch vs RefineCV.
Candidately: for a broader presentation suite
Candidately sells its AI resume builder at $1 per exported resume and offers client portals, marketing lists and a talent marketplace separately. It advertises export back to Bullhorn, which matters if that is why you looked at Allsorter. Our test exports in PDF and Word worked. See CVPitch vs Candidately.
Distill: for inbox workflows and anonymisation
Distill can reply with formatted Word and PDF files by email and offers eight anonymisation controls, retention settings from immediate deletion to twelve months, and an EU region. See CVPitch vs Distill.
CV-Transformer: for layout control
CV-Transformer advertises a layout designer, image intake, web links, organisation inboxes, EU storage, ATS partners, an API and webhooks. Its public editor handled chat corrections with Undo and Redo in our test. See CVPitch vs CV-Transformer.
HireAra: for presentation and CRM integration
HireAra lists CRM integration, unlimited users, five templates and ten custom AI prompts on its £180 Starter plan, and appears in JobAdder's marketplace. See CVPitch vs HireAra.
CVFormatter and ConnectIQ
CVFormatter's site advertises date and filename standardisation, organisation anonymisation, enhancement credits and a JobAdder integration; its first branded template is included and extra templates have published fees. ConnectIQ publishes some of the lowest prices we found and advertises source-linked review, but its free tier is a single lifetime conversion. We could not complete a conversion in either.
Also in the market
RemakeCV, iReformat, Formatix, FormaCV, CVReady, Daxtra Styler, Giig Hire and Saply.ai also sell CV formatting or related tools. We have not tested them; see the best CV formatting software shortlist for what their own sites say where we reviewed them.
How to choose
- Start with your ATS. If formatting must happen inside Bullhorn or JobAdder, shortlist the tools that advertise that integration and ask for a live demo of it.
- Decide how much checking you need. If client trust hinges on exact dates and qualifications, prioritise per-fact evidence and an approval gate.
- Price your real month. Convert each offer into cost per CV at your volume, including template fees and how re-exports are charged.
- Test five difficult CVs. Include an incomplete degree, a missing end date and contact details in headers, footers and file properties. Our hands-on testing write-up explains what to check.
- Check what happens after an edit. Ask each vendor whether a CV edited after sign-off goes out automatically or needs approving again, and whether the Word file and PDF always come from the same version.
- Read the data terms. Ask where CVs are stored, how long originals are kept, who the AI provider is, and whether candidate text ever reaches analytics. Our GDPR guide for agencies lists the questions to put to any processor.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best Allsorter alternative?
It depends on why you are switching. For published pricing and fact-by-fact checking, try CVPitch. For the lowest per-CV price, look at RefineCV or ConnectIQ. For a wider presentation suite with Bullhorn push-back, look at Candidately.
Is there a free Allsorter alternative?
Several alternatives offer free starts without a card: CVPitch (10 exports), RefineCV (10 CVs), Candidately (10 export credits) and Distill (10 cloud CVs), as observed in October 2026. None of these is free indefinitely at agency volumes.
Which Allsorter alternatives integrate with Bullhorn?
Candidately advertises export back to Bullhorn. CVPitch's Bullhorn connector is waiting on Bullhorn's partner approval; until then it connects through its REST API, webhooks and automation tools. It already has native connectors for Greenhouse, Lever, Workable and several other systems; see integrations.
How long does switching take?
With a self-serve tool there is little to migrate: recreate your format as a template, then format new CVs from the candidates' originals. Time your own first week rather than relying on anyone's estimate. With CVPitch you can start a free trial and compare costs on the pricing page.
Competitor details reflect public pages and free-account testing on 9–10 October 2026. We did not test Allsorter's product. Features and prices change, so check each vendor's site before deciding.
