CVPitch vs HireAra: Candidate CV Formatting Compared

CVPitch vs HireAra for agencies: pricing units, templates, CV editing, share links, CRM integration and fact checking, compared from October 2026 research.

CVPitch vs HireAra is a choice between a presentation platform and a fact-checking formatter. HireAra positions itself as a candidate presentation platform: branded CVs, AI assistance with custom prompts, distribution and analytics, with CRM integration from its entry plan. CVPitch is narrower and more evidence-focused: it turns a CV into your client's format, shows the source passage behind every fact, and ties approval to the exact version you send.

How we compared them: we make CVPitch. For HireAra we reviewed its pricing page and help centre on 9 October 2026 and opened its public virtual product tour on 10 October 2026. The tour asked for name, email and phone number before showing the editor, and we did not submit the form, so we have not used HireAra's editor or exported a file. HireAra features below are as advertised by HireAra.

The short answer

Choose HireAra if you want a polished presentation tool with AI prompts you can customise, CRM integration on the entry plan, candidate websites on higher tiers, and an annual candidate allowance that suits steady volume.

Choose CVPitch if you want a lower entry price, monthly allowances you can change as volume moves, editable Word output alongside PDF, and a review process where every fact is checked against the source before approval.

Who each tool suits

HireAra suits

  • Agencies that treat the CV as one part of a wider candidate presentation, with AI-written content shaped by their own prompts.
  • Teams already using a CRM HireAra integrates with, including JobAdder, whose marketplace lists HireAra.
  • Firms that want candidate websites and custom API access, which HireAra lists on higher tiers.
  • Agencies comfortable with a yearly candidate allowance: Starter covers 1,500 candidates a year.

CVPitch suits

  • Agencies that want to start small: Starter is $19 a month for 50 exports, with a 10-export free trial and no card.
  • Desks that need an editable Word file as well as a PDF, both generated from one approved version.
  • Recruiters who want every fact traceable to the candidate's own words, with any AI wording kept as a proposal they accept or reject.
  • Teams that want an evidence-cited pitch email from a job description, or to work from Claude or ChatGPT.

Where CVPitch differs

Facts stay the candidate's facts

CVPitch extracts what the CV says and lays it out in your format. It does not invent employers, dates, skills or metrics. Each fact links to its source passage, uncertain items become review flags, and anything a recruiter adds is labelled recruiter-added. Its optional AI writing tools, including chat edits from a shared prompt library, work only from existing facts and show every change as a proposal, and accepted wording is labelled AI-assisted. If your clients have ever questioned an AI-polished summary, that separation matters. Our AI CV formatting accuracy guide explains the failure modes to check for in any tool.

Approval tied to the exact version

A CVPitch approval covers the saved facts, the client template version and the contact-removal policy together. Edit any of them and the CV needs approving again before export. The DOCX and PDF come from the same approved snapshot, so they match.

Contact removal includes hidden metadata

Choose to remove email, phone, address and personal links, or replace the name with a candidate reference. Removal covers the generated DOCX, PDF and hidden document metadata, and the original stays untouched in your workspace.

Evidence-backed job match

Paste a job description and each requirement is marked evidenced, partly evidenced or not shown, with the CV passage beside it. The matching is deterministic, not an AI guess, and it drafts an editable pitch email citing that evidence plus a list of gaps to confirm with the candidate.

Pricing that flexes monthly

CVPitch plans are monthly, with unlimited users and monthly AI credits on each, and every feature except white-label and a custom client domain, which come with Agency. You can move between Starter, Pro and Agency as volume changes. See pricing.

Parity features

Both products offer share links, and HireAra advertises tracking on its links too. CVPitch's links show opens and downloads, let the client choose Request interview, Maybe or Not a fit with a comment, can be revoked at any time and are not indexed by search engines, and a client engagement report summarises them by client. CVPitch also has bulk upload, which is common across the market.

Where HireAra may be the better choice

  • Presentation breadth. If you want AI-written presentation content and candidate websites, HireAra offers more than CVPitch, whose AI tools only rephrase facts already in the CV.
  • JobAdder and Bullhorn. HireAra lists CRM integration on its entry plan and appears in JobAdder's marketplace. CVPitch's JobAdder and Bullhorn connectors are waiting on those vendors' partner approval.
  • Predictable annual volume. If you present roughly 1,500 candidates a year, a yearly allowance may suit your planning better than monthly export counts.
  • Analytics on distribution. HireAra's site presents analytics as part of the product; if candidate engagement reporting is a priority, ask for a demo of it and compare it with CVPitch's client engagement report.

Pricing compared

HireAra's Starter plan was listed at £180 a month plus VAT for 1,500 candidates a year. Used in full, that is about £1.44 per candidate before VAT. CVPitch's published plans run from $19 a month for 50 approved exports to $99 for 500, roughly $0.20 to $0.38 per CV, with re-downloads free. The units differ (a HireAra candidate versus a CVPitch approved export pair), so model your own monthly volume before deciding.

How to decide

List the three things your clients complain about most. If the answers are presentation polish and branding, book HireAra's demo. If they are wrong dates, missed qualifications or contact details slipping through, try CVPitch on five real or synthetic CVs and time the job. Frequently asked questions

Is CVPitch cheaper than HireAra?

At the entry level, yes. CVPitch Starter is $19 a month for 50 exports, against HireAra Starter at £180 a month plus VAT, as published in October 2026. HireAra's plan includes more presentation features, so compare on the features you will actually use.

Does HireAra export Word documents?

HireAra's help centre documents PDF preview and download. We could not confirm DOCX export from the pages we reviewed, so ask HireAra directly. CVPitch always exports an editable DOCX with a matching PDF.

Does CVPitch write candidate summaries with AI?

Only if you ask it to. Extraction lays out what the CV says and flags anything uncertain. The optional summary tool writes from facts already extracted, lists the facts it used, and shows the result as a proposal you accept or reject. The pitch email is drafted only from evidenced requirements, and you edit it before sending.

Can CVPitch connect to my CRM?

It has native connectors for Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, Ashby, Teamtailor, Recruitee, SmartRecruiters, Recruit CRM, Crelate and Manatal, with JobAdder, Bullhorn and Vincere coming soon, plus the REST API, signed webhooks and Zapier, Make or n8n for everything else. See integrations or start a free trial to test the workflow.

HireAra details reflect its public pages and tour as observed on 9–10 October 2026. We did not use its editor. Features and prices change, so check HireAra's own site before deciding.
